8 fantastic hotels, where there is only one room and no neighbors
A good hotel is an indispensable companion to an excellent journey. And if you are bothered by neighbors, you can consider options for unusual hotels, which consist of just one room. You can find such hotels in any corner of the planet, just keep in mind that they are very popular: many people want to stay in a room where there are no neighbors, and the hotel administration works only for you. Here is our selection of the most interesting places where there will be no one but you.
Hotel Everland: a hotel around the world
Everland is not just a hotel, it is an art installation. It resembles a futuristic train car, with one special feature: "Everland" is portable! It is transported from city to city and set up in the most spectacular locations: you can stay on the rooftop of a building in Paris one time, and another time on the shore of a lake in Switzerland. In general, it is the best place where the view from the window constantly changes and there are no bothersome neighbors.
Hotel Inkaterra, Peru: a treehouse
To live in the jungle and feel like a real Robinson Crusoe, without giving up comfort, is possible at the Inkaterra hotel. It is a treehouse accessed by a suspension bridge, and it is actually located deep in the tropical forest. By the way, not only will neighbors not bother you, but the hotel staff as well: walkie-talkies are provided for communication with them. In general, it is the perfect place to spend a night in the jungle surrounded by the sounds of nature!
Room in Cinderella's Castle (Orlando, USA): feel like a princess
The Cinderella Castle Suite was originally built as an apartment for Walt Disney, but the entrepreneur did not live to see the opening of Disneyland. The space remained vacant for a long time until in 2007, it was decided to transform it into a hotel room. This place is one of a kind, and spending a night here is only possible for the lucky few or celebrities. But still, knowing that there is a place somewhere on the planet that seems straight out of a fairy tale is very pleasant, don't you agree?
As for checking in: you can only get into the hotel by winning a contest organized by Disneyland. However, the doors of the room are open to famous people: for example, Tom Cruise stayed here with his daughter.
The One (Angkor, Cambodia): a one-room hotel above a cafe
The name of The One hotel speaks for itself. Yes, here there is only one room, which is located above a cafe in the center of Angkor. The two-story room includes a bedroom and a terrace, where you can enjoy the sounds and smells of Asia all night long, sipping a cocktail or coffee from the cafe below.
Eh’haeusl (Amberg, Germany): a house with the most romantic history
A small house, barely exceeding 2.5 meters in width, was built in the 18th century. At that time, there was a very strict rule in the city: only couples with their own house could get married. So, one couple decided to circumvent the law and built a tiny house between two buildings. They were allowed to get married, and later the couple exchanged their living space for a more spacious one. The tiny house was then acquired by other young people who wanted to unite their hearts. And so it moved from one newlywed couple to another. That's why the hotel was named Eh’haeusl, which means "Wedding House," and today there is a belief that young couples who stay at this hotel will live long and happily.
Villa Cheminée (Cordemais, France): live in a gigantic chimney
And this charming hotel crowns a large chimney right on the shore of Laury. It has a bedroom, a small kitchen, and a wood-burning stove. The room, by the way, is not ordinary; it was built as an art project for an arts festival held in France in 2009. And now, 10 years later, you can still spend a secluded night in the hotel.
CasAnus (Antwerp, Belgium): live inside a straight intestine
And how about the idea of spending a night in...an intestine? Not far from the city of Antwerp right next to a lake where black swans swim, there is a strange structure: the CasAnus hotel, which is clearly inspired by a straight intestine. There is only one single room here, which has everything necessary for living. Although, of course, if you dare to enter: the hotel looks very realistic, like a giant reddish-brown intestine with a sphincter and protruding veins.
Crane Hotel (Harlingen, Netherlands): live in a crane hotel
And if you've moved on from the straight intestine, we suggest you take a look at another cool one-room hotel that definitely won't evoke any conflicting feelings. The Crane Hotel is located in the port right in a crane at a height of 46 meters above the city. The single room can even be controlled: the crane rotates around its axis. As for everything else, it's quite standard: a bed, TV, a table by the window with a view you'll choose yourself, and a sort of terrace.
