The city of three cultures, where Europe and Asia meet. Where modernity reigns, but history is valued. We decided to visit Istanbul as a family, and our plans include not only famous landmarks but also non-touristy places. Which hotel would be best suited for our trip? The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on November 01, 2024.

This hotel also boasts spacious rooms. It is located on the shores of the Bosphorus next to a park. Due to the greenery around, it feels as if it is not in a big city, but in nature.
For those arriving with family, there are Residence rooms. Their area is 100 square meters, featuring two bedrooms and a living room. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has a single bed, and the living room has a sofa. You can choose a view of the Bosphorus or the park, and we still haven't decided which one is better. There is also a loft room, which is two stories high, with two bedrooms - one with a large bed and two single beds. The windows offer a view of the bay.
The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a children's pool. The jewel of Swissotel is the Purovel SPA center, which features 14 treatment rooms and a private sauna. There is a fitness center and a tennis court.
10 minutes from the hotel is the Dolmabahce Palace. If you enjoy strolling through the streets of the new city, then 45 minutes to the famous Galata Tower and bridge will not be a problem for you. You can reach the Blue Mosque in 25 minutes.
We can’t wait to visit the restaurant 16 ROOF, which is located on the rooftop. The view of the Bosphorus Strait from here is simply breathtaking. There are restaurants serving Turkish and Swiss cuisine and a cafe by the pool.
The hotel is located in the European part of Istanbul, so the main attractions are situated a bit farther away. However, on the other hand, this is the quietest part of Istanbul, so tourist noise will not disturb your sleep.
Good choice of rooms for families and a picturesque view from them. A wide range of services.

The area where this hotel is located combines two different Istansbuls: the new, trendy, and progressive with modern buildings, and the old, where historical structures have been preserved. From the windows and terraces of the hotel's rooms, one can enjoy views of the Golden Horn Bay.
For families, there are compact suites with a bedroom and living room. The main thing we liked about these rooms is the spacious terrace where the whole family can gather for a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the view of the city and the bay.
You can order a variety of breakfast in the form of a buffet at the hotel, including traditional Turkish olives, cheeses, eggs, capers, coffee, and much more. The hotel has two restaurants and a bar.
Nearby the hotel is Miniatürk – here we will see a miniature version of Istanbul, and later see everything in full size. Vialand, a place that all children love, is 4 km away! It is an amusement park and shopping mall. Other city attractions can be reached by bus, with a stop located next to the hotel.
Far from the center of Istanbul.
An interesting area of the city with its own charm, beautiful views of the Golden Horn Bay and the city, spacious terraces.

Modern hotel in the Beyoglu area with stylish interiors and good reviews from tourists.
The hotel has different categories of rooms, and a family with one child can fit into a representative room. We with two children will choose a corner "Premium" room. There is one large bed and a sofa, and you can order a crib and an extra bed. The room has large floor-to-ceiling windows, from which you can enjoy the city lights.
The hotel has an indoor pool, fitness center, and spa.
The restaurant of The Souq İstanbul hotel serves traditional Turkish dishes. The Nev-i Lokma restaurant offers dishes made from organic products and natural ingredients. The selection of dishes is international, but there are items from Anatolian cuisine. A continental breakfast may be included in the room rate.
Next to the hotel is the historic flower passage – an interesting attraction that we plan to visit. You can walk to the local wax figure museum. The Arter art gallery for contemporary art lovers is just a couple of steps away.
The hotel is located in the center of new Istanbul, but you will need to use public transportation or a taxi to reach the attractions in the old part.
Modern hotel with good rooms.

A hotel designed in Eastern style and located in the very heart of old Istanbul. Surrounding the hotel is a botanical garden with fragrant flowers and the opportunity to find solitude among the bustling tourist streets.
Family rooms are compact – about 40 square meters, but they feature two bedrooms. One of them has a large bed, the other has two single beds. Just what we were looking for. There are larger rooms with two bedrooms and a living room.
The hotel has a fitness center and a spa, where guests have access to saunas, a hammam, and massages.
Breakfast can be enjoyed right in the hotel. Every morning, guests are greeted with a buffet featuring traditional Turkish dishes – a chance to savor the charm of a new country. The hotel has 5 restaurants and one pastry shop. The Deraliye restaurant delights with traditional Ottoman cuisine, while the Galeyan restaurant offers quick dishes of Anatolian cuisine. There is a restaurant on the terrace serving international cuisine. Desserts can be tasted at the Helvahane pastry shop, which our children will definitely want to visit.
It’s excellent, literally a couple of minutes – and you are at the famous Hagia Sophia, a little more – and the Sultan Ahmet Fountain is in front of you. You can reach the Topkapi Palace on foot in 8 minutes. We plan to walk along the nearby waterfront if we stay at this hotel – it's a 15-minute walk.
The rooms are small compared to other hotels that offer family options. Tourists say that the hotel needs updating.
The very center of Old Istanbul.

An important advantage of this hotel is the spacious family rooms. Hotels often lack truly large rooms that can comfortably accommodate the whole family. It is located not far from the Bosphorus, and from the windows, you can see its water surface.
In spacious family suites, there is a bedroom and a living room. The living room features a sofa, and an extra bed and a baby cot can be provided upon request. For parents whose children wake up even before breakfast, like ours, there is a coffee machine to make the mornings easier and the day more lively.
The hotel provides nanny services and delivers dishes from the children's menu to the room. You can play tennis on courts with a roof that protects from rain. There is a spa center and a fitness center. For those who want to enjoy Turkish culture, there is a hammam. Our children will be thrilled with the pools; there are two of them: indoor and outdoor.
When booking a room, breakfast can be ordered, and many tourists speak highly of it. The hotel has two on-site restaurants and a bar. The Manzara restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, and the large panoramic windows offer a charming view of the Bosphorus.
The nearest attraction is the Dolmabahçe Palace, which is a 20-minute walk away. Other interesting places require transportation. For example, it takes 20 minutes to reach the Galata Bridge by bus, and 40 minutes to the Hagia Sophia.
You can reach from Istanbul Airport by taxi, the journey will take less than an hour.
The hotel is located on an elevation, so some physical training is necessary.
Spacious rooms designed for families, good service level.
